Space photovoltaic generators. State of the art, trends
Abstract
Different aspects of space photovoltaic generators are discussed, including useful range of power, specifications, life, manufacturing procedures, and limitations. It is shown that they are the choice generators for geosynchronous satellites requiring few kilowatts generated. It is thought that AsGa devices will expand the space applications due to longer life and powers going up to hundreds of kW.
