Experimental evidence of micro-nonequilibrium on the magnetopause and further predictions
Abstract
A laboratory experiment result which strongly suggests the existence of dawnside micro nonequilibrium on the magnetopause was found. The magnetosphere simulation of Kawashima and Mori (1966) indicates that the solar wind plasma intrudes into the simulated magnetosphere via the morning side of the magnetopause, as predicted by the micro-nonequilibrium theory (Wu, 1986). More predictions are made to accommodate further laboratory tests on the micro-nonequilibrium theory.
