Analysis of the series resonant converter using the normalized switching frequency as a circuit design parameter
Abstract
The basic series resonant converter is analyzed using the phase-plane graphical and trigonometrical techniques. A set of formulae based on the normalized switching frequency and the normalized output voltage was developed by means of this analysis. Also the trajectories of the switching points on the normalized phase-plane were studied under the load resistance and line voltage variation conditions. A design example was given and the trajectories of the switching points were observed on the denormalized phase-plane.
