Optimization of the parameters of the arc suppressing system of high-voltage apparatuses with a thyristor attachment
Abstract
The results are presented of investigations into the transition of current from the arc being suppressed to a thyristor branch which were carried out on models of the blow-out circuit with one-side blow-out; the optimum conditions of the interaction of the thyristor attachment with the contact circuit of the apparatus were determined; analytical equations describing the maximum rate of increase of current through semiconductor devices and the duration of the transient process, obtained using the volt-ampere characteristics of the electric arc and thyristors, are presented.
