The preparation of stable and actinide nuclide targets for nuclear measurements
Abstract
Specifications for isotopic targets of both stable and actinide isotopes for nuclear experiments are highly variable and individually can be very stringent. The majority of targets are required to have specific isotopic and chemical purity, to be well characterized, and to be uniform over a precisely defined area. In order to achieve this wide range of requirements, it is necessary to utilize many preparation and calibration techniques.
