The UV variability of T CrB.
Abstract
The continuum and rich emission line spectrum during the activity phase of T Cr B are discussed. Features of the UV continuum include a flat spectrum in Mar 1979, regular increase of the integrated luminosity and UV excess from Mar 1979 to Feb 1981, and decay of the integrated flux from Feb to Dec 1981. The overall appearance of the emission line spectrum indicates the presence of a high temperature plasma in which most of the lines (except He II) are collisionally excited. The lines are generally stronger when the continuum is stronger.
