Integrated circuits for TV and radio applications
Abstract
This was achieved by: improving the electrical properties of existing IC's and simultaneously reducing the peripheral circuitry and the manufacturing costs; combining several circuits in a single complex IC; and replacing of circuitry previously made from discrete components by new integrated circuits. The newly developed IC's are described. All problems and their solutions connected with the development, the manufacture and the testing of the circuits are reported. The circuits described are mainly for use in the RF-, IF- and AF-sections, the power supply and the display and control sections of radio and TV-receivers. The development of two new process lines for the manufacture of RF-circuits and circuits operating at supply voltages of up to 45 volts is also reported.
