A computerized field monitoring system
Abstract
Spectroscopic observation of low temperature stars through a computerized field maintaining system on a balloon-borne infrared telescope has been planned by the Tokyo University. A 100 x 100 matrix CCD sensor has been adapted as a detector for a star field camera that can track a star of the sixth magnitude. The video output data is processed and resolved by two on-board computers. The model has been successfully tested.
