Natural radionuclides in Mare Crisium regolith /analysis of orbital and laboratory studies/
Abstract
Data on Mare Crisium soil samples are used to evaluate the effectiveness of remote sensing methods for the determination of the composition of the lunar surface. Orbital and laboratory studies on the content of natural radionuclides in Mare Crisium regolith are compared in order to define the radioactivity distribution in this regolith. Radionuclide distributions in Luna-24 soil samples from Mare Crisium are analyzed in the framework of the Th-U and K-U systematic features of lunar rocks.
