Double resonance spectroscopy of multiple-photon excited molecules
Abstract
A diode infrared laser double resonance investigation was conducted of the initial photon absorption step in SF6. A variety of double resonance effects were observed: two level, three level, and four level. The utilization of the diode infrared laser double resonance to study multiple photon excitation in polyatomic molecules and vibrational levels above the first excited state onto the quasi continuum is discussed.
