Axially pulsed CO2 waveguide lasers
Abstract
The results of parametric and analytic investigations of axially pulsed waveguide laser conducted at the ERADCOM and Honeywell Laboratories are presented. The emphasis has been placed on efficient operation with low pulse to pulse jitter. Overall laser efficiency, which is a product of excitation, energy transfer and charging efficiencies can be optimized by suitable choice of initial parameters.
