Method of quasi-equilibrium functions in physical kinetics
Abstract
A new method of successive approximations in physical kinetics is described which involves the use of quasi-equilibrium distribution functions describing process dynamics. A number of applications are considered including (1) intensity distribution of stimulated Raman scattering, (2) kinetic processes described by the Fokker-Planck equation, (3) electron energy distribution functions for plasmas in electric fields, and (4) kinetic equations for density matrices. The use of the method in question to construct Green function methods is discussed.
