USMR (White Sands Missile Range) atmospheric structure constant (C sub n, sup 2) survey
Abstract
Ground based and rawinsonde measurements were conducted of the refractive index structure constant (C sub n, sup 2) wind, temperature, humidity, and pressure. Measurements were taken of (C sub n, sup 2) using an aircraft mounted temperature probe, including vertical profiles to 3000 meters above ground and constant altitude circuit surveys. The aircraft measurements and concurrent rawinsonde launches occurred at approximately local midnight, dawn, noon, and sunset.
