New optical circuits of semiconductor lasers
Abstract
A theoretical treatment is presented of the problem of designing electro-optical integrated circuits for semiconductor lasers in which the laser radiation propagates in a film-guide and for which it is necessary to match laser operation with external light beams. Two new approaches to this problem are considered: (1) the generation and amplification of laser radiation in the region of the caustic, and (2) the distributed output of laser radiation using a circuit with an active antiwaveguide.
