Distortions of correlation functions of M-sequences with a limited spectrum in RC filters
Abstract
The paper analyzes the distortion of noise-like signals in radar and radio communication systems. In this case the noise-like signal is a linear recurrent sequence of maximal period (M-sequence), whose periodic autocorrelation function is close to optimal. The M-sequency with a limited spectrum is assumed to pass through an RC filter. Numerical computations are performed to establish the relationship between the maximum of the main lobe of the sequence to the maximum of its sidelobe.
