The effect of the successivity of activating pulses on the contractile properties of a muscle
Abstract
The effect of a doublet and a space on the isometric contraction of human muscles has been studied. A method of calculation involving the force and its derivative was used to analyze the active state. It has been shown that the steady increase in the contractile force after the doublet is associated with an intensification of the active state and a slowing-down of its decay. Significant changes in the rate of development of the tension caused by the space have also been observed.
