A catalogue of southern peculiar galaxies from the UK Schmidt survey

A catalog of all peculiar galaxies measured on the plates of the UK Schmidt southern sky survey is presented in order to provide quick-look reductions. Reductions to right ascension and declination (1975.0) used the plate center, defined by the telescope at the time of exposure, and (x, y) measurements of the four plate corners. Reduction formulas given by Konig (1962) were used. The positives were checked with respect to bright field galaxies and conspicuous globular clusters. In addition some objects appear on several fields or on several plates of the same fields. From both methods of comparison the quoted positions appear to be accurate to plus or minus 2 minutes of arc.
