Determination of the density profile of a plasma of Tokamak type by millimeter-wave multichannel interferometry
Abstract
Determination of the distribution of the electron density in a toroidal machine of Tokamak type. The desired distribution is determined by an Abelian type graphic-numerical transformation of the mean plasma density obtained by eight millimeter-wave interferometric channels under the assumption that the plasma density distribution is symmetrical with respect to the equatorial plane of the Tokamak and that the mean density profile of the toroidal discharge tube reflects the local density profile.
