Localization in disordered alloys: Single site CPA
Abstract
A criterion for localization first put forward by Anderson is evaluated using the single site CPA. Using phase space arguments, it is shown that in one and two dimensions single site CPA predicts that all states are localized. In three dimensions the prediction is that all states are extended. Other localization criteria appropriate to CPA are discussed and explicitly compared.
