The Defroit Institute of Technology Wavelength Tables. III.
Abstract
For many years progress in astronomy has been hampered by the lack of an extensive, accurate, up to date table of atomic emission lines. To remedy this situation we have begun to prepare a replacement for the MIT wavelength tables. Our data bank is an IBM card file. We have transferred the MIT data line by line to cards and have calculated for each air wavelength the corresponding vacuum wavelength and wave number using the tion of helium abundances and electron temperatures from radio recombination line intensities are discussed.
