Li 6 photodisintegration
Abstract
The excitation function of reactions with a neutron yield up to energies Eγ=60 MeV is determined. Besides the known maximum in the region from 7 to 17 MeV, two broad maxima in the energy region Eγ > 19 MeV are noted on the curve of dependence of the total cross section of these reactions on Eγ. Real reactions with the emission of charged particles are established and the energy spectra of these particles are determined. Relative yields of the reactions are evaluated. A substantial contribution (≈ 30 mb · MeV) of the Li 6(γ, t)He 3 reaction to the total cross section for the absorption of γ quanta by the Li 6 nucleus is registered. The energy region of the most intense absorption of γ quanta by the Li 6 nucleus is established ( Eγ = 20 to MeV, σ0, 45 mb · MeV ). The experimental value of the integral cross section for the photodisintegration of the Li 6 nucleus in the energy region Ethr ≦ Eγ ≦ 60 MeV does not exceed the minimum cross section calculated by the dipole sum rule (at X = 0 σ0 = 90 mb · Mev).
