Magnitudes and Color Indices of Certain Stars of Classes B and a
Abstract
Magnitudes, photographic and photovisual, and color indices have been measured for 95 H.D. stars of B and A type found on central portions of plates taken by F. E. Ross and R. S. Zug (Table I). The procedure of measurement is the same as that given. The graph (Fig. I) for individual color indices according to spectral type shows con- siderable dispersion and is of the same order as that found in Yerkes and Mount Wilson determinations. The mean color indices are stated in Table II and shown in graphical form in Figure 2. Tue mean color indices are about o~io higher than those found at Yerkes and differ by a somewhat less figure from the Mount Wilson results for stars of the same order of brightness (mag. 7-10)
