α activity of natural tungsten isotopes

The indication for the α decay of ¹⁸⁰W with a half-life T^α_1/2=1.1^+0.8_{- 0.4}(stat)±0.3(syst)×10¹⁸ yr has been observed for the first time with the help of the superlow background ¹¹⁶CdWO₄ crystal scintillators. In a conservative approach the lower limit on half-life of ¹⁸⁰W has been established as T^α_1/2(¹⁸⁰W)⩾0.7×10¹⁸ yr at 90% C.L. In addition, new T^α_1/2 bounds were set for α decay of ¹⁸²W, ¹⁸³W, ¹⁸⁴W, and ¹⁸⁶W at the level of 10²⁰ yr.
