Dependence of the supercarrier effective mass on doping in cuprates
Abstract
The supercarrier effective mass of a multiband pair-transfer superconductor is investigated. Using an interpolative multiband model for a “typical” cuprate the CuO2 plane m is calculated on the whole doping scale. The trend of m diminishing with progressive doping reflects the observed restoring of Fermi-liquid behaviour. The dependence of the penetration depth (λ) is nevertheless determined by the supercarrier density which has an expressed maximum near the optimal doping. The thermodynamic critical field behaves analogously. The pairing strength and the phase coherence develop simultaneously.
