Superconductivity in pyrochlore oxide Cd 2Re 2O 7
Abstract
The pyrochlore oxide Cd 2Re 2O 7 shows superconductivity at 1.1 K. The upper critical field HC2 extrapolated to 0 K is estimated to be about 0.8 T. The electronic specific heat coefficient γ is 14.7 mJ K -2/Re mol. Our experimental results indicate that the Cooper pairs are composed of rather heavy quasiparticles.
