GRB 241221A: Fermi GBM Final Real-time Localization
Abstract
At 00:22:34 UT on 21 Dec 2024, the Fermi Gamma-ray Burst Monitor (GBM) triggered and located GRB 241221A (trigger 756433359.308788 / 241221016). The on-ground calculated location, using the Fermi GBM trigger data, is RA = 79.5, Dec = 29.2 (J2000 degrees, equivalent to J2000 05h 17m, 29d 11'), with a statistical uncertainty of 11.1 degrees. The angle from the Fermi LAT boresight is 68.0 degrees.
