GRB 241212A: Fermi GBM Final Real-time Localization
Abstract
At 09:21:48 UT on 12 Dec 2024, the Fermi Gamma-ray Burst Monitor (GBM) triggered and located GRB 241212A (trigger 755688113.6612 / 241212390). The on-ground calculated location, using the Fermi GBM trigger data, is RA = 44.3, Dec = 6.5 (J2000 degrees, equivalent to J2000 02h 57m, 6d 30'), with a statistical uncertainty of 3.6 degrees. The angle from the Fermi LAT boresight is 40.0 degrees. The skymap can be found here: https://heasarc.gsfc.nasa.gov/FTP/fermi/data/gbm/triggers/2024/bn241212390/quicklook/glg_skymap_all_bn241212390.png The HEALPix FITS file, including the estimated localization systematic, can be found here: https://heasarc.gsfc.nasa.gov/FTP/fermi/data/gbm/triggers/2024/bn241212390/quicklook/glg_healpix_all_bn241212390.fit The GBM light curve can be found here: https://heasarc.gsfc.nasa.gov/FTP/fermi/data/gbm/triggers/2024/bn241212390/quicklook/glg_lc_medres34_bn241212390.gif
