GRB 241209C: Fermi GBM Final Real-time Localization
Abstract
At 07:22:54 UT on 9 Dec 2024, the Fermi Gamma-ray Burst Monitor (GBM) triggered and located GRB 241209C (trigger 755421779.595806 / 241209308). The on-ground calculated location, using the Fermi GBM trigger data, is RA = 116.0, Dec = -1.0 (J2000 degrees, equivalent to J2000 07h 44m, -1d 00'), with a statistical uncertainty of 4.2 degrees. The angle from the Fermi LAT boresight is 36.0 degrees. The skymap can be found here: https://heasarc.gsfc.nasa.gov/FTP/fermi/data/gbm/triggers/2024/bn241209308/quicklook/glg_skymap_all_bn241209308.png The HEALPix FITS file, including the estimated localization systematic, can be found here: https://heasarc.gsfc.nasa.gov/FTP/fermi/data/gbm/triggers/2024/bn241209308/quicklook/glg_healpix_all_bn241209308.fit The GBM light curve can be found here: https://heasarc.gsfc.nasa.gov/FTP/fermi/data/gbm/triggers/2024/bn241209308/quicklook/glg_lc_medres34_bn241209308.gif
