IPN triangulation of GRB 241022A (short/hard)

The short-duration GRB 241022A was detected by Konus-Wind, INTEGRAL (SPI-ACS), Swift (BAT), and Mars-Odyssey (HEND) at about 79703 s UT (22:08:23). The burst was outside the coded field of view of the BAT. We have triangulated it to a preliminary, 3 sigma error box whose coordinates are: --------------------------------------------- RA(2000), deg Dec(2000), deg --------------------------------------------- Center: 0.480 (00h 01m 55s) +31.665 (+31d 39' 53") Corners: 1.971 (00h 07m 53s) +29.734 (+29d 44' 02") 359.012 (23h 56m 03s) +33.596 (+33d 35' 47") 359.001 (23h 56m 00s) +33.460 (+33d 27' 35") 1.968 (00h 07m 52s) +29.579 (+29d 34' 43") --------------------------------------------- The error box area is 1401 sq. arcmin, and its maximum dimension is 4.74 deg (the minimum one is 5 arcmin). The Sun distance was 146 deg. This localization may be improved.
