The APEX Telescope: current status and future developments}
Abstract
The Atacama Pathfinder Experiment (APEX) is a 12 meters sub-millimeter telescope located at 5.000 masl. The excellent atmospheric transmission, the flexible telescope architecture and the good surface quality make of APEX one of the most successful sub-millimeter single dish telescopes on earth. In this paper we present a brief overview of the telescope status with special emphasis on the current instrument availability and near future plans.
