Supernovae as Key Players in the High-Redshift Dust Enrichment
Abstract
Using 3D hydrodynamical simulations with on-the-fly shock processing, we investigate supernova dust injection within wind-driven bubbles. Our findings reveal the net positive contribution of supernovae to dust production, surpassing dust destruction. Additionally, we study superbubbles powered by star clusters in low-metallicity, clumpy molecular clouds, where we have found that dust grain growth is significant. Crucially, we have found that both pair-instability and core-collapse supernovae play a crucial role in the production of dust in the high-redshift Universe, shortly after the onset of Cosmic Reionization.
