Pilot study: Effect of roles and responsibility training on driver's use of adaptive cruise control between younger and older adults
Abstract
Basic (owner's manuals) and comprehensive (+responsibilities) ACC training was provided. Older and younger adults differed in their ACC usage after training. Older adults reported less dynamic situational trust and higher workload than younger drivers. However, comprehensive training reduced the difference between younger and older adults. Training on driver support system is connected to the acceptance of FAVs.
