Unrevealing past and future vegetation restoration on the Loess Plateau and its impact on terrestrial water storage
Abstract
Satellite observations, land surface modeling and future projection are used. Past and future GPP dynamics and the effects on water availability are quantified. EEMD model is employed to characterize inter-annual variability. Noah modified with satellite forcing is applied to retrieve high resolution TWSC. Increasing GPP and decreasing TWSC are found in the past and future.
