VizieR Online Data Catalog: Classification of the 100pc WDs (Jimenez-Esteban+, 2023)
Abstract
DA and non-DA spectral classification of the 100pc population of white dwarfs from the low-resolution Gaia-DR3 spectra and the Virtual Observatory (VO). Gaia and Simbad information were collected for the whole catalogue of 12718 white dwarfs within 100pc from the Sun. Spectral classification, effective temperatures, masses, and gravities were obtained for 8150 white dwarfs with temperatures higher than 5500K.
To build the SEDs of the 100pc WD sample from public archives within the VO, we collected data from different photometric catalogues, which are listed in Table 2. The new Gaia-DR3 has provided low-resolution spectra for more than 200 million sources. The spectra cover the optical to near-infrared (near-IR) wavelength range, from 330 to 1050nm, approximately. A total of 12342 (97% of the whole ample) WDs in our sample had Gaia low-resolution spectra available. (1 data file).- Publication:
