VizieR Online Data Catalog: Distances and ages of 150 open clusters (Monteiro+, 2019)
Abstract
In this paper, we present the mean proper motions and parallaxes as well as the astrometric membership probabilities and fundamental parameters using Gaia DR2 data (Gaia Collaboration 2018A&A...616A...1G, Cat. I/345) for 49 open clusters with no previously determined parameters in the New Catalog of Optically Visible Open Clusters and Candidates (Dias et al. 2002A&A...389..871D, Cat. B/ocl), hereafter DAML02, and for 101 newly discovered clusters from Cantat-Gaudin et al. (2018A&A...618A..93C, Cat. J/A+A/618/A93) and from Cantat-Gaudin et al. (2019A&A...624A.126C, Cat. J/A+A/624/A126).
A direct consequence of the quality of the Gaia DR2 astrometric data is the possibility of determining better membership of stars of the open clusters as shown in Dias et al. (2018MNRAS.481.3887D, Cat. J/MNRAS/481/3887). In a vector proper motion diagram (VPD) of stars in a region of an open cluster, using Gaia data, it is usually possible to see clearly the expected clump that is due to the member stars of the cluster presenting the same spatial velocity. It is also possible to visualize this clustering when we include parallax and radial velocity, although the latter has fewer stars with values determined. The fundamental parameters [distance, age , E(B-V), Rv, and Z] were determined using our code to fit isochrones to the Gaia DR2 photometric data considering the stars with astrometric membership greater than 51 per cent.
