VizieR Online Data Catalog: Extended emission-line regions of obscured AGN (Sun+, 2018)
Abstract
Our high-quality broad-band images are taken from the HSC survey, which is part of the Subaru Strategic Program (SSP; Aihara et al. 2018PASJ...70S...4A). This survey takes advantage of the wide field capability (1.77deg2 field-of-view) of the Hyper Suprime-Cam (Miyazaki et al. 2012SPIE.8446E..0ZM, 2018PASJ...70S...1M; Furusawa et al. 2018PASJ...70S...3F; Komiyama et al. 2018PASJ...70S...2K) on the Subaru 8.2m telescope to deliver high-quality g, r, i, z, y broad-band images over a total survey area of ~1400 deg2. The data used throughout this paper are based on the S16A internal release taken between 2014 March and 2016 April. The wide layer, which this paper focuses on, contains 174deg2 of data with full depth in all five bands. Some of the data were reprocessed to give a more accurate estimate of the point spread function (PSF). Our targets are selected from four SDSS spectroscopically identified obscured type 2 AGN samples - Zakamska et al. (2003AJ....126.2125Z, Cat. J/AJ/126/2125); Reyes et al. (2008AJ....136.2373R, Cat. J/AJ/136/2373); Mullaney et al. (2013MNRAS.433..622M); and Yuan, Strauss & Zakamska (2016MNRAS.462.1603Y). Type 1 AGNs are excluded in our analysis because their bright nuclei could cause artefacts that interfere with the imaging of the emission-line regions. Table C1 presents our primary sample of 300 type 2 AGNs.
