The Gravitational Wave-Gamma Ray Burst Working Group
Abstract
The Gravitational Wave-Gamma Ray Burst Working Group is among the most prolific multimessenger collaborations. It is currently composed of LIGO, Virgo, Fermi-GBM, and Swift-BAT, and will soon include KAGRA and BurstCube. We contribute to core scientific advancements including a key role in GW170817 - GRB 170817A, multimessenger association formalisms, and service work through the creation of alerts with combined localizations for joint detections of neutron star mergers. We will briefly summarize the core results of this group before discussing the forthcoming StarBurst and proposed MoonBEAM missions, developed to meet the needs of gamma-ray monitors in the multimessenger era.
