Population connectivity across a highly fragmented distribution: Phylogeography of the Chalcophaps doves
Abstract
Phylogenetic reconstruction supports current taxonomy. Discordant nuclear and mitochondrial ancestry near contact zone. Isolation by distance and hierarchical population structure within clades. Low overall diversity despite a large and fragmented geographic distribution.
