Maximizing Stakeholder Voices at the Convergence Research Table
Abstract
Convergence research requires making connections: across disciplines, knowledge cultures, methods of data collection and analysis, digital circuitry, and between people. AGU's new Innovations type session facilitates the development of connections using non-traditional structured interactions, and our session takes full advantage of this paradigm shift. To achieve maximum representation from Colorado River stakeholders, we have compiled a series of recordings with messages from resource managers, agency leadership, and Colorado River water users. These messages are directed to those working in the Colorado River Basin and those within the drought science community. Each of these recordings will become part of the Network Graph database. The affiliations and other attributes of the people we have recorded will be embedded into the network hub. These recordings come from people who want to participate and use science to inform their decisions. We share these voices as an inspiration to the session's convergence discussant group participants and as an introduction. This is a virtual networking activity that will be expanded upon in post-session participatory activities that are being planned.
