Solar radiation forecasting using a model based on Takagi-Sugeno fuzzy systems
Abstract
This paper proposes a new simple Takagi-Sugeno fuzzy procedure for forecasting daily global solar irradiation. Data measured in Timisoara, Romania, are used for developing the model and the modeling procedure is detailed described. The physical quantity processed by the fuzzy algorithm is represented by the daily clearness index, computed from the measured daily global solar irradiation. Based on obtained results we conclude that this model can contribute to efficient forecasting of daily global solar irradiation.
