Accretion Physics with Colibri
Abstract
Colibr\`i, a proposed X-ray space mission, will look for answers to the questions: How do accretion disks transport material onto compact objects? How are relativistic jets launched? and What is the mechanism behind accretion feedback? These key questions drive the mission specifications to high spectral and timing resolution with high throughput - a focussed niche within the community of future proposed X-ray missions. To address these science goals, Colibr\`i will target accretion disks and coronae of X-ray binaries and supermassive black holes; the phenomena under investigation include reflection and re-emission of radiation by the disk and outflowing winds.
