Evaluating the impacts of driver's pre-warning cognitive state on takeover performance under conditional automation
Abstract
Proposed a comprehensive takeover performance metric combining multiple driving indicators. Estimated driver cognition using physiological indicators (electroencephalogram). Investigated the impacts of the driver's pre-warning cognitive state on takeover performance. Modeled the interactive effects of driver cognition with age and driving experience on takeover performance. Modeled the effects of novelty in takeover experience and type of warning on takeover performance.
