Ground state properties of charmed hypernuclei within a mean field approach
Abstract
Closed shell charmed hypernuclei 5Li Λc, 17>/SUP>F Λc, 41Sc Λc, 57Cu Λc, 133Sb Λc, and 209Bi Λc are calculated within the Hartree-Fock approach by using three different force sets derived from microscopic Brueckner-Hartree-Fock calculations of Λ hypernuclei. Ground state properties (binding energies, Λc separation energies, Λc single particle energies, and Λc densities) of charmed nuclei are examined. We confirm the results and conclusions of different models from the literature, related to Λc hypernuclei. Due to the Coulomb repulsion between protons and the Λc baryon, charmed hypernuclei are most bound for 16 ≤A ≤41 , where 17F Λc can be considered as an excellent candidate to determine charmed hypernuclei properties. The competition between the attractive nucleon-Λc interaction and the Coulomb repulsion is discussed, and we compare Λ and Λc hypernuclei properties.
