ITRF2020: From Data Analysis to Results
Abstract
The ITRF2020 is expected to be provided in the form of an augmented reference frame so thatin addition to station positions and velocities, parametric functions for both Post-SeismicDeformation (PSD) and periodic signals (expressed in the Center of Mass frame of satellitelaser ranging) will also be delivered to the users. To that end, we developed a number ofsoftware tools and analysis strategies aiming at enhancing the modeling of station nonlinearmotions (PSD and periodic signals) so as to improve the quality, consistency and accuracy ofthe new frame. The presentation recalls the main features of data analysis and shows majorresults, focusing on the frame origin and scale parameters, the level of technique consistenciesof nonlinear station motions at colocation sites, as well as some performance indicatorsof the ITRF2020.
