Legacy of the OMPS JPSS-234 Programs

The Ozone Mapping and Profiler Suite (OMPS) will span multiple builds of the JPSS program. OMPS aims to continue the ozone mapping and trend analysis in support of the Montreal Protocol for the entirety of the program. The sensor work supporting this goal includes continued improvements for complete ground calibrations, design enhancements on select components to reduce stray light effects, and flexibility in on-orbit operations to allow on-orbit to support future science. We present the continued legacy provided by the OMPS instrument aboard the future JPSS-234 spacecrafts.
