VizieR Online Data Catalog: AMUSING++ nearby galaxy compilation. I. Sample (Lopez-Coba+, 2020)
Abstract
In the present work, we compile the All-weather MUse Supernova Integral-field of Nearby Galaxies ("AMUSING++") sample from different MUSE projects and use this to identify and study galactic outflows at sub-kiloparsec scales over a large number of different galaxies.
The Multi Unit Spectroscopic Explorer (MUSE) instrument provides a wide field of view (FoV) of 1'x1', with a spatial sampling of 0.2"x0.2" per pixel, thus, the spatial resolution is seeing limited. MUSE covers the whole optical range from 4750 to 9300Å, with a spectral sampling of 1.25Å, and a full width at half maximum (FWHM) that depends slightly on the wavelength, being ~2.4Å at the red part of the spectrum (at 7500Å). We selected galaxies observed with MUSE (FWHM~1") from the European Southern Observatory (ESO) archive, acquired until 2018-August with redshifts below z<0.1. See Section 2 for further explanations.
