Mathematical modeling of flash boiling phenomena in superheated sprays at low degree of superheat using dirichlet hyperboloids
Abstract
Newly proposed mathematical model for flash boiling at lower degree of superheat. The size and the velocity of the ejected droplets are predicted. Bubble nucleation, growth, and bubble-burst are considered for spray structure. Simulations are carried out for three fuels - ethanol, acetone, isooctane. The ambient pressure and injection temperature are varied for analysis.
