Thermodynamic modeling, CFD analysis and parametric study of a near-isothermal reciprocating compressor
Abstract
Near-Isothermal reciprocating compressor is modeled and investigated. Simple thermodynamic model is developed; useful for control optimisation. Computational fluid dynamics simulation performed with moving mesh. Spatial/temporal analysis of pressure, temperature and velocity field. High correspondence between analytical and CFD simulation observed.
