Hyacinth bean (Lablab purpureus L.) – An underutilised crop with future potential
Abstract
Hyacinth bean serves as a good source of vegetable proteins in human diet. The legume bears a wide spectrum of therapeutic potentials. Abiotic and biotic constraints are the major bottlenecks to the efficiency of crop. It contains marvelous features to tolerate stress generated by drought and salinity.
