Administrative boundaries and urban areas in Italy: A perspective from scaling laws
Abstract
Near-universal urban scaling laws may be robust tools for urban planning. Italian municipalities possess meaningful empirical area-population scaling laws. Parameter-free delineation produce urban clusters with similar relations in Italy. We proposed a new aggregation of administrative boundaries in Italy driven by scaling laws.
